As per the inspirations on the pillars of the temple it can be said that the old name of this place was Vadhi Lat. At one place it is mentioned that rang mandap in this temple was erected by Shreshthi Shri Ram & Gosyank in V.S. 1265. It prooves that this is older than that period. Marks on the present moolnayak idol said it to be established in 1545. |
