Idol of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan has markings of Samvat 2014 on it. Swet varniy idol of about 127 cms in height in padmasan positin.

Jain Teerth :

Inscriptions have been found indicating the ancient name of this place as Shatvatika, Satvapika, Samipati, Seemapati and Sivvadi. The inscription of V.S. 1167, 1172 and five other kept inside the temple are historical. According to the inscription of V.S. 1172, idol of Mahaveer Bhagwan was moolnayak of the temple. In samvat 2014, idol of Bhagwan Shantinath was established as the moolnayak. At the enterance of mool gambahra, the idols of 16 Vidya devis (godess of education), Yaksha Kuber and Gajalakshmi (in the underground portion) are the main attraction of teerth.

Speciality of Jain Teerth :

Description is available about Shri Yashodev, the army Chief of Chauhan king Shri Katukraj has established the idol of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan in a part of the temple. During those period the city was very jubilliant having 100 huge wells among them the ancient Jetal well is still existing. In a tamrapatra of VS 1238, belonging to Prince Shri Samant Singh, has carvings about the presence of Chaiya of Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan at Anil Vihar of Sameepati. Archaeologists have found the remaining of Atergarh fort at the distance of 1.5 kms away from Sevadi village and it defines the presence of Ji temple at that spot. Dhwaja (holy flags) are offered on every Falgun Shukla Teej.

Historical Details :

Historical names of this place were Shatvatika, Shatvapika, Sameepati, Seemapati and Sivvadi, which is confirmed by the inscriptions found at this place. Among those, the inscriptions of VS 1167,1172 & 5 others are of great importance. The VS 1172 inscription describes about the idol of Mahaveer Bhagwan to be present in the temple as the Moolnayak, which was replaced by the idol of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan after the renovatory work conducted during VS 2014. Rest idols present in the temples are considered to be the make of thirteenth century. The portrait of Shri Gunaratna Suriji, the follower of Sandekargatchha Acharya Shri Yashobhadra Suriji. It has the carvings of VS 1244. The ancient art can be seen on the idols of 16 Vidya Devis & Yaksha present in the main hall of the temple. Another temple is recently established having the idol of Vasupoojya Bhagwan as the moolnayak near the ancient well outside the village, foundation of which was laid down by the hands of Yati Pratap Ratnaji in the year 1982. He is said to be full of spiritual magical knowlege and his ashram was consisting many useful yantra's designed on its wall, which is damaged in time-scale.
