This teerth place is one of the Ajahara Panchteerthi. Once there were about 700 gardens in this city, which indicates the beautification of this place in those days. The huge idol of Shri Adinath Bhagwan in the hall is very attractive. Adjacent to it is the idol of Shri Amijhara Parshwanath Bhagwan. Occasionally, an old snake can be seen standing with raising head behind the idol forming a shed on it. Akbar pratibodhak Vijay Heersurishwarji expired here on Bhadrapad Shukla 11 of VS 1652. His funeral ceremony took place on 100 Acres of land donated by Great Akbar. That place is still known as Shahi Baug. |
