The old historical Bedhak grantha, Sushrut, was also written here. World famous Shravak Pratikraman sutra was written on Bhojpatra here in Shak Samvat 826. |

Acharya Shri Sheelankacharya has written comments (teeka) on "Acharaangsutra" in this village in VS 919. Ancient Bedhak granth "Sushrut" was also written at this place. Shrimal Seth, elder family member of Mantrishwar Shri Vimal Shah has shifted himself to this village after leaving Bheenmal Nagar. Later, the king of Gurjar Shri Vanraj Chavda invited him to stay in Patan, giving the post of Dandanayak of Patan to his son Lahar. "Shravak Pratikraman Sutra" written in VS 826 was scripted on Bhojpatra at this place. Apart from all these many other granths had been also scripted at this holy place. |

History of this place is older than 9th century of VS. As per many specifications, this village was established long before Patan city. During its olden days this huge city was called as Gambheera and Gambhuta. Visitor's letters given to different temples proves the presence of many temples at this place. The moolnayak idol is considered to be made during the period of King Samprati. Many other idols of that time have been shifted to Mumbai and other places. |
