Shwet varniy ( white coloured) idol of 40 cms in padmasan mudra of Shri Chintamani Parshwanath Bhagwan.

Jain God Desc :

Ancient, 2250 years old temple of the period of King Samprati.

Jain Teerth :

It is beleived that this temple was constructed by King Samprati. This teerth is about 2250 years old. Many renovation work has been done in the two storyed temple at different time. Fair is organised evry year after Holi. on seventh day of Chaitra Krishna. The poojan timings are 6.00 am during winter season and at 7.00 am during summer.

Speciality of Jain Teerth :

Being the oppurunity of the centre place having temples established by Shri Samaysundarji Upadhyay during the rein of samrat Chandragupta and by Arya shri Suhasti Surishwarji during rein of king Samprati, this teerth place has much importance in Jainism. Greater poet Shri Samaysundarji Upadhyay has beautifully described the teerth in samvat 1662. Patotsav mela is organised every year after Holi on Chaitra Krishna Saptami.

Historical Details :

Olden name of this place is said to be Arjunpuri, later on called as Ganganak. It is an ancient city. A description is available in the "Shri Gangani Mandan" written by Shri Samaysundarji Upadhyay, for finding 65 idols from the basement of a Khokhar temple situated at the bank of Dudhela pond on Jyeshtha Shukla 12 of VS 1662. Among those the idol of Shri Padmaprabh Bhagwan was established on Magh Shukla 8 of VS 273 by King Samprati. Another golden idol of Shri Parshwanat Prabhu was established by Samrat Chandragupt. Those idols are not seen nowadays and said to be under grounded later on having fear from the then attackers. Dudhela pond and Khokhar temple is still existing having renovated in 9th century by Shri Bosat of Upkeshnagar. Bhuranto has also done some part of renovation during 12th century. escriptions are available of its renovation done by Shri Shah Sarang belonging to Adityagaan Gotra during 14th century. The temple was once again renovated during 16th century by the Jain Shravak's belonging to Bikaner. Last renovatory work tok place in VS 1982. Inscription of VS 1914 is identified on the Moolnayak idol. It seems to be established after some of its renovation work. An mixed metallic idol of Shri Adinath Bhagwan has carvings of VS 937. This ido is very magical. Idol of Shri Dharamnath Bhagwan, which is present on the upper floor of the temple has carving of samvat 1684.

Teerth is about 200 meters distance from the bus stand. The holy places Banad, Osiyan & Kapardaji are at a distance of 20 kms, 30 kms & 65 kms respectively from Gangani teerth.
