Speciality of Jain Teerth :

A huge celebration was organised at the time of the entry of Acharya Shri Hemchandracharya (famous as Kalikal Sarvagya), being on pravas from Bihar to other places, to this city in 13th VS century. Many Shravak's have invited him to their houses, which he fulfilled. A poor shravak have also invited him. Acharya Shri went to his house where he was offered an old Shaal. He accepted and continued his traveling. Acharya Shri put the same old Shaal on his shoulders while entering Patan city. King of Patan, great Kumarpal wanted to know the story behind that Shaal. Acharya Shri told him that it was offered by a poor shravak and if he (king) feels ashamed of it, he should uplift the poor of his empire. King Kumarpal took all measures for uplifting poor of his empire onwards, called on that poor shravak and offered ten thousand gold coins to him. Shashan Devi pleased on Acharya Shri Heervijay Surishwarji after he pleaded her with the help of Surimantra and gave ashirvad to become a source of pratibodh to a great historical king. Later he gave pratibodh to great Emperor Akbar. He made Jayvimal muni his pattadhar, who later on famous as Acharya Shri Sensurishwarji.

This teerth might have established before 13th century of VS. The entry of Acharya Shri Hemchandracharya in Deesa is mentioned in "Prabandh Panchshatika" written by Pujya Subhsheel Ganvarya. Many other temples might have built in last so many decades. Last renovative work of this temple took place in VS 1888.
