The Moolnayak idol of Shri Manmohan Parshawanath Bhagwan is full of magical powers. It is said that the Adhisthayak Dev, being appeared in a nightmare, has ordered Jain shravak Gemaji to bring the undergrounded magical idol of Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan in the pond of nearby Sela village and establish in the temple at Bali. As per the orders, the idol was recovered after quarrying the pond. People of Sela village wanted it to be establish at Sela only. After discussions it was decided the idol to be established at the place where it will be carried by the bullock-cart on which it was placed. The bulls started pulling the cart towards Bali village and the idol was established in a huge temple was built at Bali. |

Bali is an ancient village with a vast background. It is said to be possesed by the Chouhan kings. Later it came in the possesion of Sonagar Sardars of Jalor and lastly under the Maharana's of Mewad.
The moolnayak idol is said to be brought from nearby Sela village after quarrying a pond. It has the carving written on it of Jyeshtha Krishna 6 of samvat 1161. The idol would have established by the honarary hands of Shri Yashobhadra Surishwarji. The temple was renovated about 300 years ago. |
