This is an ancient teerth kshetra.

Jain Teerth :

This is a Siddhkshetra, said to be existing from the period of Shri Munisuvratswami or the king of Ayodhya Shri Ramchandraji. Great Geologist from Greece Mr. Tolemi has described this place as a centre of Jains in the memory of his India tour during 140 BC. The heirs of Samrat Ashok, king Shri Gangasingh has repaired this fort in 800 B.C. and during this process also renovated these temples. In 1540, Muslim invader Sultan Mohammad Begda has attacked at this place and destroyed many temples, which were again renovated in 1931. Digambar Bhattarak Shri Kanak Kirtiji Maharaj has re-established (pratishtha) of this temple on Margshirsh Shukla 13 in the year 1937.

Speciality of Jain Teerth :

1. Shri Lav & Kush, son of Ayodhya king Shri Ramchandraji, King of Laat Estate Shri Narendra and many munis have attained Moksha while doing tapashya at this holy place. These incidents are described in Nirvan-kand because of which this teerth is described as Siddhkshetra in Jainism. Great Geologist from Greece Mr. Tolemi has described this place as a centre of Jains in his journey discription of India during 140 BC. Shwetambar sect of Jainism also accepts the ancientness of this teerth considering it as equilateral to Shri Shatrunjay Teerth. Inscriptions in Swetambar history describes "Sarvatobhadra Temple" to be constructed during 13th Century by Mantri Shri Tejpal and a temple also had been constructed by Shri Jaywant Seth in VS 1638, the establishment of the temple was performed by Acharya Shri Vijaysensuriji. Gani Seelvijayji Maharaj had described about the temple of Bhagwan Shri Neminath to be constructed during VS 1746. Temples at this place are also described in "Shri Jeeravali Parshwanath Stavan" written by Shri Deepvijayji Maharaj. Remains of this area reminds the olden days. The temples of Shwetambar sect are not present. Holy Flags (Dhwaja) are offered in Digambar temple at the time of Mela organised on every Margshirsh Shukla 13.
