Khajuraho temples have been constructed during the reign of the Chandel Kingdom lasted during 9th to 12th centuries of Vikram Samvat. The teerth temple having the idol of Shri Parshwanath Bhagwan was constructed during the reign of Chandel King Shri Dhang by respectable Jain Shreshthi Shri Pahil. This is carved on a stone at the enterance. King Pahi has donated seve Vaatika’s for the pooja & maintanance. Carvings of Samvat 1085 are present at the Bottom of the moolnayak idol of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan. |
