Idol was found from underground in the Kunabi Mohalla of Vamaj in VNS 2448 (VS 1979). This was re-established in the newly built temple by Acharya Shri Vijay Udaysurishwarji on Vaishakh Shukla Trayodashi of VNS 2471 (VS 2002). |

Actual period of establishment of this teerth is not yet available. Many remainings can be seen around this temple, indicating this place to be very popular in ancient period. It is said that there was a tunnel up to nearby Sherisha teerth starting from this place. The idol could be defined as of the rein of King Samprati. It was recovered from the Kanabi Mohalla in VNS 2448 (VS 1979). Some people identified this idol as of Shri Shantinath Prabhu. Idol established in newly build temple on Vaisakh Shukla Trayodashi of VNS 2471 (VS 2002) by honorary Acharya Shri Vijay Udaisurishwarji. |
